Science Bites

Take a bite!

Our Science Bites are single-lesson dips into something wonderful in in science.

They’re done in our seminar style — cameras on, hands-on, brains-on.

We only offer them occasionally, and right now we have one for free!

Caves are Weird

Saturday, March 14

Sunday, March 15

Saturday, March 28
2pm Eastern / 11am Pacific

Every cave has something secret in common… once you recognize it, you’ll start seeing them in a whole new light.

It’ll be 90 minutes long, with a 5-minute break. Kids will all have their cameras on, since this’ll be in our seminar-style class. For ages 8–15, and totally free!

We only have 25 seats available — choose the session that works best for you.

Somewhere in the lesson, Brandon’ll give a super-secret code for $50 off your first month of the seminar subscription.

You can use it for this school year, or for 2026–27… but he’ll only give it once — so be on the lookout!

This science bite pairs nicely with Hills are Weird — the sixteenth topic of our Big Course in which we explore planetary science.

(Things like rocks, glaciers, and… frost giants?)

Welcome to hyper-interactivity

We have two styles of live class — webinars & seminars. In both, lessons are interactive riddles: kids work to figure out the answer by the end of class.

Our seminars, though, are small-group, cameras-on and hyper-interactive. Kids use their hands. Their voices. Their bodies. There’s constant activity as kids become one giant human brain!

You can learn more about the differences here. But do you want to get a feel for our seminars?
